FAQ

Q: I have plugged in my monitors but I don't have any display on any of my monitors, what should I do?
A: Although Windows and ChromeOS have DisplayLink Drivers natively installed in the Operating system they may need updating. When you plug in a DisplayLink product and get no display then always update to the Latest Drivers Here first. In 99% of cases, once these are updated your displays will work. If you are a MacOS user then refer to the section of the User Manual that explains how to install the DisplayLink Manager. The DisplayLink Manager has to be running on MacOS for DisplayLink to work. If these steps do not solve your problem then please contact Comsol support on Live Chat or here and one of our team will give you further assistance

Q: I've been using the dock for a few hours and it feels quite hot to touch, is that normal?
A: This is completely normal, there is a lot going on inside your product with several Integrated Chipsets providing displays, data and power to your laptop. Please always ensure your dock is positioned in a well ventilated area and not left on fabric like a bedding or a lounge for extended periods of time to help keep your product cooler

A: This dock supports a maximum of 2 external displays on the DisplayLink Chip (HDMI 1 & HDMI 2) which are Universal and function on any USB-C or USB-A (5Gbps) port. The other port (DisplayPort) works on a technology called DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt-Mode) If your laptops USB-C port supports DP-Alt Mode (Check your laptop's user manual or manufacturer website) then all 3 displays will work. In this case the DisplayPort will deliver the highest resolution at up to 4K (3840 x 2160) @60Hz
